Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2010 Christies in London held the auction Japanese Art and Design, which included the work Unknown by Ichiyusai Kuniyoshi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,493.75) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ichiyusai Kuniyoshi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Unknown in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 14,900.00 (€ 20,863.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Japanese Art and Design durch, in der auch die Arbeit Unknown von Ichiyusai Kuniyoshi zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.493,75) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ichiyusai Kuniyoshi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Unknown im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 14.900,00 (€ 20.863,85).
