Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Nyoman Masriadi could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern and Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction, the work The Old Master (Snapping Provocation Of Samuro) changed hands for HKD 1,750,000.00 (€ 206,562.64) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 1,800,000.00 – 2,800,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nyoman Masriadi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Man From Bantul (The Final Round), which sold at auction in October 2008 for HKD 7,820,000.00 (€ 795,442.36).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nyoman Masriadi konnte im April 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art Evening Sale wechselte die Arbeit The Old Master (Snapping Provocation Of Samuro) für HKD 1.750.000,00 (€ 206.562,64) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 1.800.000,00 – 2.800.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Nyoman Masriadi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Man From Bantul (The Final Round) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für HKD 7.820.000,00 (€ 795.442,36) versteigert wurde.
