Sold at the upper estimate price
In July 2020 Christies in London held the auction First Open: Post-War & Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Fishing (from the Homage to Pubic Hair series) by Huguette Caland. The auction ended at the price of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,731.36), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Huguette Caland achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bribes de Corps (Body Parts) in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 250,000.00 (€ 289,982.07).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion First Open: Post-War & Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fishing (from the Homage to Pubic Hair series) von Huguette Caland zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 16.731,36) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Huguette Caland erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bribes de Corps (Body Parts) im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 250.000,00 (€ 289.982,07).
