Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fragmented Memories (9) by Huguette Caland was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Middle Eastern Art auction at Christies in London in November 2020. It changed hands for a price of GBP 81,250.00 (€ 90,702.42) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 65,000.00 – 85,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Huguette Caland - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bribes de Corps (Body Parts), which sold at auction in October 2019 for GBP 250,000.00 (€ 289,982.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fragmented Memories (9) von Huguette Caland wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Middle Eastern Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 81.250,00 (€ 90.702,42) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 65.000,00 – 85.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Huguette Caland mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bribes de Corps (Body Parts) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für GBP 250.000,00 (€ 289.982,07) versteigert wurde.
