Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art / Middle East, which included this untitled work by Huguette Caland. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 30,240.00 (€ 35,826.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Huguette Caland have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bribes de Corps (Body Parts) in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 250,000.00 (€ 289,982.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Huguette Caland zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 30.240,00 (€ 35.826,23) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Huguette Caland auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bribes de Corps (Body Parts) im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 250.000,00 (€ 289.982,07).
