This artwork by Hugo Wilson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in October 2021. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Hunt 9 sold for GBP 56,250.00 (€ 66,641.06) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Hugo Wilson; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Hunt 7 sold at auction in September 2021 with the realized price of GBP 60,480.00 (€ 70,369.32).
