Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Christies in London held the auction Laugh now but one day we’ll be in charge: Banksy and 21st Century Editions, which included the work Hunt III, from: The Hunt Portfolio by Hugo Wilson. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,772.00 (€ 3,286.52) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hugo Wilson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hunt 7 in September 2021 with an auction result of GBP 60,480.00 (€ 70,369.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Laugh now but one day we’ll be in charge: Banksy and 21st Century Editions durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hunt III, from: The Hunt Portfolio von Hugo Wilson zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.772,00 (€ 3.286,52) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hugo Wilson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hunt 7 im September 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 60.480,00 (€ 70.369,32).
