This artwork by Hugh Bolton Jones achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in October 2007. In the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction, the work Landscape With Cattle sold for USD 28,000.00 (€ 19,353.06) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hugh Bolton Jones - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Brook in Autumn, which sold at auction in May 2007 for USD 90,000.00 (€ 66,899.58).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Hugh Bolton Jones erzielte im Oktober 2007 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture wurde die Arbeit Landscape With Cattle für USD 28.000,00 (€ 19.353,06) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Hugh Bolton Jones mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Brook in Autumn beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für USD 90.000,00 (€ 66.899,58) versteigert wurde.
