Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hubert Cornish - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lady Teignmouth's Garden House on the banks of the Hooghly, Calcutta., which sold at auction in September 2000 for GBP 6,462.50 (€ 10,813.74).
