The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,290.00 (€ 5,505.17) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Hubert Cornish have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2000 the work Lady Teignmouth's Garden House on the banks of the Hooghly, Calcutta. was auctioned for GBP 6,462.50 (€ 10,813.74).
