Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Cultivating Delight: Collecting Chinese Art, which included the work The Sun Rises As Usual by Hu Yongkai. It changed hands for a price of HKD 17,500.00 (€ 1,917.36) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hu Yongkai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lady in April this year with an auction result of HKD 36,000.00 (€ 36,763.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2020 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Cultivating Delight: Collecting Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Sun Rises As Usual von Hu Yongkai zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 17.500,00 (€ 1.917,36) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hu Yongkai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lady im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 36.000,00 (€ 36.763,04).
