The work Lady with Blooming Flowers by Hu Yongkai was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 18,900.00 (€ 2,243.84), 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hu Yongkai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lady in April this year with an auction result of HKD 36,000.00 (€ 36,763.04).

Die Arbeit Lady with Blooming Flowers von Hu Yongkai wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 18.900,00 (€ 2.243,84) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hu Yongkai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lady im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 36.000,00 (€ 36.763,04).
