This artwork by Hu Yongkai achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in March last year. In the Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Lady Drinking Tea sold for HKD 40,320.00 (€ 4,641.54) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hu Yongkai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lady in April this year with an auction result of HKD 36,000.00 (€ 36,763.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hu Yongkai erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Lady Drinking Tea für HKD 40.320,00 (€ 4.641,54) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hu Yongkai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lady im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 36.000,00 (€ 36.763,04).
