Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Hu Yongkai achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2019. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Door Gods sold for HKD 177,000.00 (€ 20,230.84) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Hu Yongkai; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Lady sold at auction in April this year with the realized price of HKD 36,000.00 (€ 36,763.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hu Yongkai erzielte im Oktober 2019 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Door Gods für HKD 177.000,00 (€ 20.230,84) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Hu Yongkai; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Lady im April diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 36.000,00 (€ 36.763,04).
