Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Zhong Kui Riding A Donkey by Hu Xigui was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2018. The price achieved of USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,162.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hu Xigui achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 56,067.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Zhong Kui Riding A Donkey von Hu Xigui kam im September 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 5.162,62) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hu Xigui erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 56.067,00).
