Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2015 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Lady By The River by Hu Xigui. The price achieved of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,333.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hu Xigui achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 56,067.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2015 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lady By The River von Hu Xigui zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 4.333,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hu Xigui erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 56.067,00).
