Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Woman Leaning On A Window by Hu Xigui was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2012. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,687.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hu Xigui achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 56,067.00).

Die Arbeit Woman Leaning On A Window von Hu Xigui wurde im März 2012 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.687,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hu Xigui erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 56.067,00).
