The work Peach Blossom And Peonies; Calligraphy In Shiguwen by Hu Xigui was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2011. It achieved a price of HKD 212,500.00 (€ 19,624.29), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 42%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hu Xigui - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flowers, which sold at auction in April 2017 for HKD 475,000.00 (€ 56,067.00).

Die Arbeit Peach Blossom And Peonies; Calligraphy In Shiguwen von Hu Xigui wurde im Oktober 2011 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 212.500,00 (€ 19.624,29) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 42%. Für andere Arbeiten von Hu Xigui mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Flowers beobachtet, die im April 2017 für HKD 475.000,00 (€ 56.067,00) versteigert wurde.
