This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 6,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Howard Mehring - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Solar, which sold at auction in March 2016 for USD 52,500.00 (€ 46,093.06).
