Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Howard Kanovitz could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in July 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Online: NYC auction, the work The Muse, 1975 changed hands for USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,873.06) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Howard Kanovitz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work One By Threes in July 2020 with an auction result of EUR 62,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Howard Kanovitz konnte im Juli 2018 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Online: NYC wechselte die Arbeit The Muse, 1975 für USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.873,06) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Howard Kanovitz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit One By Threes im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 62.500,00.
