In October 2021 VAN HAM in Cologne held the auction Sensual to Radical. A Survey of Figurative Art | ONLINE ONLY, which included the work The people. by Howard Kanovitz. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,935.00 61% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Howard Kanovitz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work One By Threes in July 2020 with an auction result of EUR 62,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 61 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2021 führte VAN HAM in Köln die Auktion Sensual to Radical. A Survey of Figurative Art | ONLINE ONLY durch, in der auch die Arbeit The people. von Howard Kanovitz zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.935,00 und damit 61% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Howard Kanovitz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit One By Threes im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 62.500,00.
