Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Overlooking the Turbulent Clouds by Tu Hongtao was auctioned at Christies in Shanghai in April 2015. The price achieved of CNY 687,500.00 (€ 99,287.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CNY 400,000.00 – 800,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tu Hongtao - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work In Dream and Somnus, which sold at auction in October 2015 for CNY 1,950,000.00 (€ 279,555.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Overlooking the Turbulent Clouds von Tu Hongtao kam im April 2015 bei Christies in Shanghai zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CNY 687.500,00 (€ 99.287,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CNY 400.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Tu Hongtao mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit In Dream and Somnus beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für CNY 1.950.000,00 (€ 279.555,33) versteigert wurde.
