Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2016 POLY in Macau held the auction Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work I Come From Accidental by Tu Hongtao. The price achieved of HKD 1,062,000.00 (€ 125,887.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 900,000.00 – 1,200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tu Hongtao - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work In Dream and Somnus, which sold at auction in October 2015 for CNY 1,950,000.00 (€ 279,555.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2016 führte POLY in Macau die Auktion Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit I Come From Accidental von Tu Hongtao zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.062.000,00 (€ 125.887,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 900.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Tu Hongtao mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit In Dream and Somnus beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für CNY 1.950.000,00 (€ 279.555,33) versteigert wurde.
