Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2019 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Contemporary Ink, which included this untitled work by Hong Zhu'An. The price achieved of HKD 56,250.00 (€ 6,437.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hong Zhu'An - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Profound, which sold at auction in November 2018 for HKD 162,500.00 (€ 18,340.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2019 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Hong Zhu'An zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 56.250,00 (€ 6.437,80) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Hong Zhu'An mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Profound beobachtet, die im November 2018 für HKD 162.500,00 (€ 18.340,99) versteigert wurde.
