Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The yellow earth by Hong Zhu'An was sold in the SOUTHEAST ASIAN PICTURES AND 20TH CENTURY INDIAN PICTURES auction at Christies in Singapore in April 2001. The price achieved of SGD 10,575.00 (€ 6,543.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as SGD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hong Zhu'An - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Profound, which sold at auction in November 2018 for HKD 162,500.00 (€ 18,340.99).

Die Arbeit The yellow earth von Hong Zhu'An wurde im April 2001 in der Auktion SOUTHEAST ASIAN PICTURES AND 20TH CENTURY INDIAN PICTURES bei Christies in Singapur versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von SGD 10.575,00 (€ 6.543,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit SGD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Hong Zhu'An mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Profound beobachtet, die im November 2018 für HKD 162.500,00 (€ 18.340,99) versteigert wurde.
