Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2020 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Childhood Ii by Hong Zhu'An. It changed hands for a price of HKD 18,750.00 (€ 2,024.40) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hong Zhu'An have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Profound in November 2018 with an auction result of HKD 162,500.00 (€ 18,340.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2020 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Childhood Ii von Hong Zhu'An zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 18.750,00 (€ 2.024,40) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hong Zhu'An auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Profound im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 162.500,00 (€ 18.340,99).
