Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2015 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Delightful Pleasure-Chinese Painting and Calligraphy, which included the work Landscape by Hong Wu. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 8,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 9,440.00 (€ 1,107.66) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hong Wu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pocket-Sized Landscapes Handscroll in May 2017 with an auction result of HKD 826,000.00 (€ 94,318.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2015 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Delightful Pleasure-Chinese Painting and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape von Hong Wu zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 8.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 9.440,00 (€ 1.107,66) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hong Wu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pocket-Sized Landscapes Handscroll im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 826.000,00 (€ 94.318,08).
