Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Landscapes by Hong Wu was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2016. The result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 35,593.52) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hong Wu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pocket-Sized Landscapes Handscroll, which sold at auction in May 2017 for HKD 826,000.00 (€ 94,318.08).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Landscapes von Hong Wu kam im September 2016 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 35.593,52) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Hong Wu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pocket-Sized Landscapes Handscroll beobachtet, die im Mai 2017 für HKD 826.000,00 (€ 94.318,08) versteigert wurde.
