This artwork by Hong Wu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2005. In the FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY auction, the work Flowers sold for HKD 132,000.00 (€ 13,746.21) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hong Wu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pocket-Sized Landscapes Handscroll in May 2017 with an auction result of HKD 826,000.00 (€ 94,318.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 89 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hong Wu erzielte im Mai 2005 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY wurde die Arbeit Flowers für HKD 132.000,00 (€ 13.746,21) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 70.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hong Wu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pocket-Sized Landscapes Handscroll im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 826.000,00 (€ 94.318,08).
