The work Mulan Joins The Army by Hon Chew Hee was sold in the 20th Century Chinese Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2013. It achieved a price of HKD 225,000.00 (€ 21,351.33), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hon Chew Hee - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Weaving Shop, which sold at auction in April 2014 for HKD 812,500.00 (€ 75,567.77).

Die Arbeit Mulan Joins The Army von Hon Chew Hee wurde im Oktober 2013 in der Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 225.000,00 (€ 21.351,33) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Für andere Arbeiten von Hon Chew Hee mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Weaving Shop beobachtet, die im April 2014 für HKD 812.500,00 (€ 75.567,77) versteigert wurde.
