The work Pali Battle Of Hawaii by Hon Chew Hee was auctioned at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April 2021. It changed hands for a price of HKD 76,700.00 (€ 8,211.94) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hon Chew Hee have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Weaving Shop in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 812,500.00 (€ 75,567.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pali Battle Of Hawaii von Hon Chew Hee kam im April 2021 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 76.700,00 (€ 8.211,94) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hon Chew Hee auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Weaving Shop im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 812.500,00 (€ 75.567,77).
