Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Coffee Hour by Hon Chew Hee was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015. The auction ended at the price of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 34,671.21), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hon Chew Hee - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Weaving Shop, which sold at auction in April 2014 for HKD 812,500.00 (€ 75,567.77).

Die Arbeit Coffee Hour von Hon Chew Hee kam im April 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 34.671,21) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Hon Chew Hee mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Weaving Shop beobachtet, die im April 2014 für HKD 812.500,00 (€ 75.567,77) versteigert wurde.
