Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work A: Bai Su Ching; B: Prince Hsu; C: Bai Su Ching Reverts To True Self Three Works by Hon Chew Hee for HKD 47,500.00 (€ 4,507.50). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century Chinese Art at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hon Chew Hee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Weaving Shop in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 812,500.00 (€ 75,567.77).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A: Bai Su Ching; B: Prince Hsu; C: Bai Su Ching Reverts To True Self Three Works von Hon Chew Hee für HKD 47.500,00 (€ 4.507,50) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hon Chew Hee erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Weaving Shop im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 812.500,00 (€ 75.567,77).
