Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2018 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art, which included the work Chain Reaction(Painted In 1990) by Hisao Dōmoto. The price achieved of HKD 41,300.00 (€ 4,357.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 35,000.00 – 55,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hisao Dōmoto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 750,000.00 (€ 86,686.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2018 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Chain Reaction(Painted In 1990) von Hisao Dōmoto zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 41.300,00 (€ 4.357,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 35.000,00 – 55.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hisao Dōmoto erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 750.000,00 (€ 86.686,12).
