Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Crossing The Sea by Hiroshi Sugito. It changed hands for a price of GBP 6,930.00 (€ 7,695.17) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hiroshi Sugito achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Red Lounge in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 216,000.00 (€ 160,558.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Crossing The Sea von Hiroshi Sugito zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 6.930,00 (€ 7.695,17) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hiroshi Sugito erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Red Lounge im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 216.000,00 (€ 160.558,98).
