In April 2017 Phillips in New York held the auction The Odyssey of Collecting: Photographs from Joy of Giving Something Foundation, Part 2, which included the work Popping Pills, New York City, May 4 by Hiro. The »bidding war« ended at USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,604.86), 56% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Hiro have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Apollo - 11, 9:32 A. M. 7-16-69 Maiden Voyage To The Moon' in April last year with an auction result of USD 63,000.00 (€ 59,789.31).

Im April 2017 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion The Odyssey of Collecting: Photographs from Joy of Giving Something Foundation, Part 2 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Popping Pills, New York City, May 4 von Hiro zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.604,86) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hiro auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Apollo - 11, 9:32 A. M. 7-16-69 Maiden Voyage To The Moon' im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 63.000,00 (€ 59.789,31).
