This artwork by Hippolyte Camille Delpy achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in February 2019. In the 19th Century European Art auction, the work French Washerwoman At The Edge Of A River sold for USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,182.18) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hippolyte Camille Delpy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work July, which sold at auction in December 2020 for GBP 23,750.00 (€ 26,530.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hippolyte Camille Delpy erzielte im Februar 2019 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century European Art wurde die Arbeit French Washerwoman At The Edge Of A River für USD 15.000,00 (€ 13.182,18) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Hippolyte Camille Delpy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit July beobachtet, die im Dezember 2020 für GBP 23.750,00 (€ 26.530,87) versteigert wurde.
