Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rearguard Action! by Hilary Harkness was auctioned at Phillips in London in February 2008. The price achieved of GBP 30,500.00 (€ 39,892.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hilary Harkness - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Deep Roll Dive, which sold at auction in November 2021 for USD 157,500.00 (€ 139,541.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Rearguard Action! von Hilary Harkness kam im Februar 2008 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 30.500,00 (€ 39.892,80) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Hilary Harkness mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Deep Roll Dive beobachtet, die im November 2021 für USD 157.500,00 (€ 139.541,06) versteigert wurde.
