Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Hermanus Willem Koekkoek could be acquired at Christies in New York in June 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Living With Art auction, the work Mill on the Laan changed hands for USD 625.00 (€ 566.53) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hermanus Willem Koekkoek achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hussars in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 38,400.00.
