This artwork by Hermanus Willem Koekkoek achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in January 2013. In the 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art auction, the work Dutch Field Artillery, Circa 1890 sold for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,836.28) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hermanus Willem Koekkoek have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hussars in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 38,400.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hermanus Willem Koekkoek erzielte im Januar 2013 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art wurde die Arbeit Dutch Field Artillery, Circa 1890 für GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.836,28) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hermanus Willem Koekkoek auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hussars im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 38.400,00.
