Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Bonhams held the auction Home & InteriorsCollections, which included the work Eventide on still water by Hermanus Willem Koekkoek. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,167.50 (€ 1,963.32) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hermanus Willem Koekkoek achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hussars in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 38,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Home & InteriorsCollections durch, in der auch die Arbeit Eventide on still water von Hermanus Willem Koekkoek zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.167,50 (€ 1.963,32) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hermanus Willem Koekkoek erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hussars im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 38.400,00.
