Sold at the upper estimate price
In November 2016 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters & 19th Century Art - including Dutch Impressionism, which included the work An infanterist; and A Grenadier by Hermanus Willem Koekkoek. The auction ended at the price of EUR 3,500.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hermanus Willem Koekkoek achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hussars in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 38,400.00.
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im November 2016 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Art - including Dutch Impressionism durch, in der auch die Arbeit An infanterist; and A Grenadier von Hermanus Willem Koekkoek zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 3.500,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hermanus Willem Koekkoek erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hussars im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 38.400,00.
