It achieved a price of USD 30,240.00 (€ 27,850.43), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 51%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Herman van Swanevelt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An Italianate landscape with a drover, cattle and washer women, a bridge and a hill top temple beyond, which sold at auction in March 2000 for GBP 43,300.00 (€ 72,009.88).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 30.240,00 (€ 27.850,43) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 51%.
