Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work An Italianate Landscape, With Figures Walking In The Foreground (Morning) by Herman van Swanevelt for USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,750.22). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Drawings at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Herman van Swanevelt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An Italianate landscape with a drover, cattle and washer women, a bridge and a hill top temple beyond in March 2000 with an auction result of GBP 43,300.00 (€ 72,009.88).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit An Italianate Landscape, With Figures Walking In The Foreground (Morning) von Herman van Swanevelt für USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.750,22) erwerben.
