Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters, which included the work An Extensive Mountain Landscape With A View Over A River Valley by Herman Saftleven. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,298.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Herman Saftleven have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape With Travelers in January 2008 with an auction result of USD 265,000.00 (€ 178,559.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Extensive Mountain Landscape With A View Over A River Valley von Herman Saftleven zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.298,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Herman Saftleven auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape With Travelers im Januar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 265.000,00 (€ 178.559,40).
