In October 2020 Christies in New York held the auction The Martin Feldstein Collection: Dutch Art in the Golden Age, which included the work A river landscape with a farmhouse by Herman Saftleven. The auction ended at the price of USD 30,000.00 (€ 25,757.71), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Herman Saftleven have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape With Travelers in January 2008 with an auction result of USD 265,000.00 (€ 178,559.40).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The Martin Feldstein Collection: Dutch Art in the Golden Age durch, in der auch die Arbeit A river landscape with a farmhouse von Herman Saftleven zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 25.757,71) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Herman Saftleven auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape With Travelers im Januar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 265.000,00 (€ 178.559,40).
