Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Stadelwand by Herbert Bayer was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction at Christies in New York in December 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,625.00 (€ 8,687.65) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Herbert Bayer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mirage In The Mountains in July 2020 with an auction result of GBP 125,000.00 (€ 139,427.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Stadelwand von Herbert Bayer wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 8.687,65) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Herbert Bayer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mirage In The Mountains im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 125.000,00 (€ 139.427,98).
