In the British and European Art auction, the work 'Oil and Pencil Sketches for Portraits' album size 42 x 30cm (16 9/16 x 11 13/16in). changed hands for GBP 318.75 (€ 374.45) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry William Pickersgill achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'improvisatrice in July this year with an auction result of GBP 10,240.00 (€ 11,946.98).
