Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction Important British Paintings, which included the work Portrait Of Major General Sir Henry Wheatley, Bt, C.B., G.C.H. (1777-1852) by Henry William Pickersgill. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 11,377.10). Other works by Henry William Pickersgill have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 10,240.00 (€ 11,946.98) in July this year for the work L'improvisatrice.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2007 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Important British Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of Major General Sir Henry Wheatley, Bt, C.B., G.C.H. (1777-1852) von Henry William Pickersgill zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 11.377,10) einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Henry William Pickersgill haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.240,00 (€ 11.946,98) im Juli diesen Jahres für die Arbeit L'improvisatrice beobachtet.
