Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2020 Christies in London held the auction British & European Art, which included the work A Danish steamer moored alongside a busy dock by Henry Thomas Dawson. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 13,942.80). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Thomas Dawson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Danish steamer moored alongside a busy dock in Portsmouth, which sold at auction in April this year for GBP 25,500.00 (€ 29,061.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion British & European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Danish steamer moored alongside a busy dock von Henry Thomas Dawson zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 12.500,00 (€ 13.942,80) einen neuen Besitzer.
